Year 3 at Audley End
On Wednesday, Year 3 enjoyed exploring the spacious grounds and estate of Audley End.
We investigated life ‘above and below stairs’ in a Victorian stately home (drawing comparisons with The Secret Garden’s Misslethwaite Manor), visited the servant’s wing, state rooms, stables, coach houses and beautiful grounds, and had ‘hands-on’ fun in the nursery.
We also squeezed in a quick run around the playground. We were very proud of the children’s impeccable behaviour, particularly as there were members of the public visiting the estate, and the vast number of questions they had, stretching the Year 3 adults and the guides in the house. Not to mention, the fun and enthusiastic attitudes they showed. What a lovely day!
