This Week in School
This week's collective worship focussed on courage, and Asthma Awareness Day. We talked about how to show empathy towards somebody with a medical condition, and we talked about what asthma is. We also stressed the importance of only taking medication that belongs to you. I was very impressed with the questions the children asked about asthma. We also talked about a writing competition for Suffolk children - more info below.
I have continued to see some super manners and respect in school this week - I talked to the children last week about how pleased I was with this. Many children hold doors open, offer to carry things, and generally walk in the corridors beautifully.
Next week is SATs week for our Y6 children. They are as ready as they will ever be, and we look forward ot them showing off what they can do. Y6 parents, please ensure that your children get a good night's sleep each night. Mrs Gilmore is in the process of organising a party for the children for after SATs, as is the tradition of our school. This is something that she always funds herself, and she always spends a small fortune, so if you could remind your children to thank her, that would be wonderful.
