It has been a lovely final week of this half-term. In our collective worship, we looked at a story called 'The Making Of Milton', about a boy who had to find his courage again. Revered Chris also talked to the children about courage.
It was lovely to see so many children and parents eating cakes at our Jubilee Tea Party... I took home some lovely banana and chocolate chip cake. It was a pleasure to judge the competition with Angie and Mrs Troughton.
The Fit For Sport Team members were in this week, setting up for their first day on June 6th. There are still places available so book your child in if you need after-school childcare.
All staff members have been busy doing phonics training today. We start our new approach in September - we will communicate relevant information to parents as needed. The DfE has mandated new guidance for all schools, so we want to ensure that we are ahead other game! We also said our goodbyes and good lucks to Mrs Harper, as this is her last day before she begins her maternity leave.
I hope that you all have a lovely half-term break, and I look forward to seeing you on Monday 6th June for the last half-term of this academic year...eeek!
The children have been working hard in school, take a peek to see what they've been up to...
As you all know, there will be lots of activities in the village on Saturday 4th June to celebrate the Queens Platinum jubilee. We have had lots of entries for the art competition, do try and pop in to the church to see the artwork on display. Children can also buy a lunch from the village shop for £2.00 to enjoy on the green. Tickets for the lunches are available from the village shop. Don't forget to buy your Duck, for the duck race, and bring your pooch along for the dog show!
Good Luck Mrs Harper!
The fabulous children & parents in Year 3 brought a beautiful hamper of gifts for Mrs Harper & her husband who will be welcoming their new baby soon.
We wish them both all the very best of luck, their new journey will hopefully be full of giggles & gurgles. We look forward to meeting Baby Harper soon.
It is not acceptable to block people's cars in the car park.
It is not acceptable to park in a disabled spot if you are not entitled to do so.
It is not acceptable to park outside the designated bays and cause congestion or potential accidents.
If you are unable to follow parking rules, please do not use the car park. We do not have the resources to police the car park, and we need all parents to show patience, consideration and an awareness of safety.
If you find the car park a stressful place, please park in the village and walk into the school grounds - it would only take a few minutes. If you are running late, we will keep your child safe - there is no need to become verbally abusive, or to park your car inconsiderately.
Moulton Panthers: Winners!!
The team won the cup! Yay... well done to all the boys in the team. It was a tight game. It finished 1-1 and then had to go to a penalty shoot out. How nervous were those goalkeepers? Well done Boys
Could we please ask that you keep on top of your dinner payments for your children? Please try to pay for the dinners at the beginning of the week, so that your account does not build up too high. Please click below to go to the Suffolk County Council website to pay for school dinners. Thank you
Please can we ask that you pay your Breakfast club in advance, each week? Some of these debts are quite large, please pay your invoice as you receive it. Thank you
***Entry into Breakfast Club Each Morning***
Could we also ask that you DO NOT enter the school premises until a member of staff has arrived at Breakfast club and opened the door for you. You should also be signing your child in each morning. Please do not leave your child to walk in alone, from the drop-off zone.
FitForSport After School Club Starts Monday 6th June 2022
The Fit For SPort team were in earlier this week. Many thanks for making them so welcome & for taking the time to talk to them all. The club goes live on Monday 6th June. A letter has been emailed home, giving more details of the things they will be doing. The link below is also for your information.
Our lunchtime team would be very grateful if you have any of the following items at home, not being used any more:
Dolls & dolls clothes
Toy cars & garages
The children love to play with their friends at lunchtime, they also like to dress up a doll, or zoom a car around the playground, into a play garage. The items we need should be plastic, if possible and need to be waterproof as they may get left outside. We do not need prams or buggies, or garages that are enormous, or enormous ride on cars! Many thanks
