Our school week has again, flown by in a flurry of activities and learning. The children in Year 2 have been busy making their statues of St Edmund, getting them all ready to be shown in the Cathedral in Bury St Edmunds. Our after school sports clubs have all been full of enthusiastic children all wanting to run the fastest, throw the furthest or catch the most, Mr Walker has been busy with them all.
Our Year 6 children led a special Remembrance Day assembly on Wednesday, which included a 2 minute silence and poetry readings from our Year 6 children and a Year 1 child. See the website for more photos
Sponsored Bike Ride Hugo & Harriet
On Saturday, 2 of our pupils will be doing a sponsored bike ride for the Royal British Legion, Poppy Appeal. As this year's Remembrance celebrations have been affected by the current situation, any extra fund raising is greatly appreciated. They are taking part in the 10K run and we wish them both the very best of luck! If you would like to contribute, please go to their JustGiving page as follows: https://mypoppyrun.britishlegion.org.uk/fundraising/MyPoppyRun2020-TheK-Ps
We are following the Government guidelines and continue to have lots of windows and doors open throughout the school day. Sadly, this makes the school corridors and some classrooms, rather cold. Could you please encourage your child to wear some layers, under their uniform? Many thanks
Please can we ask you to have a think about some fund raising ideas to put to our PTA ladies? Please use the link below to pass on your thoughts.
Your generosity for this fabulous charity, has been amazing! As I write this, the total raised by our school so far, is £340. Thank you all so very much. The children all look great today, lots of spotty clothes, faces and even hair! Please do check out the website, under the Parents tab, there's lots of photos there too. And, the Newmarket Journal came this morning, the chap took a lovely photo of some of our Year 1 children, watch the paper in the next week or so!
Please remember to pay for your child's school dinners, online if you can. We are aware that we have quite a few large amounts now due, from several parents. Please pay in advance, we do still accept cash and cheques, if you cannot do payments online. The online 2nd choice menu is on the website : /16th-nov-meal-choices
