The weather has been a little too hot this week, but, thankfully, the children have all had lots of water, plenty of sun hats on their heads, and time in the shade. Many thanks for sending your children in with their summer items, it really does make a difference to their day when they have everything they need at the start of the day.
We need to mention Speed again, in the drop-off zone. PLEASE drive slowly and carefully when you are around the children. We know that children are always happy to see their parents at pickup and their teachers at drop off time, please use caution when entering/leaving the zone.
Parent Governor Vacancy
Many thanks to those of you who have sent in the ballot papers for our new parent governor. The completed voting slip must be returned to school in a sealed envelope. All votes must be in by 9am on Monday 21st June. Thank you
We will be counting the votes early next week and Mrs Shipp will announce the winner.
Don't forget!! The Bag2School collection is next Tuesday, 22nd June. The main car park will have a section taped off, for you to drop your bags into. Please do not bring your bag in before then, as we have nowhere to store them. Please drop your bag by 9.00am . Thank you
Our Reception team have asked for any spare clean girls knickers you may have. Ages 3/4 or 4/5 would be great. Thank you
Hats, Drinks & Water Bottles
Please remember, in this lovely warm, sometimes hot, weather, the children can get dehydrated very quickly. Please make sure they have their water bottle, sun hat and have had sun cream applied before they leave home, every day.
The next week's weather looks a little unsettled. Could you please make sure your Yr3/4/5 or 6 children have a spare pair of shoes with them, as they will be on the field, when it's dry.
Also, all years need to send their child in with a rain coat.
If you know of any local companies that you think would donate a prize for our Summer Raffle, please email the details to our PTA ladies at email@example.com
Please try and pay for your child's dinners online, in advance. The dinner debt letters are sent out each week, to give you details of how much you might owe, please do look out for these in your child's book bag. We are still favouring the online method of payment, the link below will take you straight to the SCC website:
The need to wear a face covering in and on school premises has now been extended until the end of this school year. Thank you
The Year 5 children have had a great week, doing their Bike ability training in school and around the roads in the village. We are pleased to confirm they all passed, and thankfully, missed the pouring rain today! Very well done to them all.
