Museum Of Zoology Year 4

On Tuesday, we rounded off our topic of Living Things and their Habitats. From the moment we set foot in the Museum, we knew that this was going to be a memorable trip as there was a gigantic Fin Whale hanging above us. Once inside the museum, we saw some breathtaking skeletons and preserved creatures. We even had a talk from a museum expert about bones and teeth (which will support our learning of teeth later in the year). We then had to follow clues in order to complete a Skeleton Explorer quiz, taking us around to each area.

The children behaved so well and represented Moulton brilliantly.  The children all wrote their own review about their learning during English the next day and shared some of their highlights. This will hopefully be a trip that lives in the memory. If you have some free time as a family, why not go for another visit and spend time looking at all the museum has to offer.
