Year 4 at the Gurdwara

Our Year 4 class went to the Cambridge Gurdwara where we were guided through the temple. They saw the Guru Granth Sahib and explored key symbols for Sikh practise.

And they then went through to the Langar kitchen where they learnt about more core beliefs and about how meals are shared each day.   This is a great starting point for both their Sikh Gurus topic and Sikh Community topic.

As you will see from the photos, the children had to cover their heads and remove their shoes. The children represented the school really well in their behaviour and engagement!’
