Reading Cafe (R, Yr1 Yr 2)

Spring was in the air this morning, as the sun shone for our Café.

Well it was so lovely to see lots of parents in school today, for our Reading Cafe.  Our Reception classroom was buzzing with activity, the children were decorating flowers after listening to the story "That's My Flower". 

Year 1 are currently looking at Bugs in their topic.  They listened to the book "What the Ladybird Heard" and then made some very beautiful ladybirds. The children had to choose the eyes for their ladybird, and make the polka dot backs. 

And our Year 2 children listened to the story of "The Three Trees" and they then made some beautifully decorated pots, to house some secret flowers, using seeds from Mrs Chittock.  She's not told them what the seeds are, that will be a great surprise when they start to grow!!
