Remembrance Assembly
We had a very poignant assembly this morning to remember those who have fallen in the wars around the world. Children from year 6 read about the significance of the Poppy and why we wear them and Armistice Day. They spoke about the Cenotaph and Flanders Fields by John McCrae. The assembly finished with the last post bugle and images of the world wars. The children read prayers and also held a two-minute silence.
