Moulton CEVC Primary School

Church School

ETHOS

At Moulton CEVC Primary School, we believe that every person is uniquely created and deeply loved by God. Every member of our school community is valued, respected and encouraged to flourish. We celebrate the individuality of every child and adult, recognising the unique gifts, talents and experiences that each person brings to our school family.

Our Christian vision is rooted in Jesus' command:

"You shall love your neighbour as yourself."
Matthew 22:39

This biblical teaching shapes our daily life. It inspires us to value ourselves as children of God, to care for one another with kindness and compassion, and to build a community where everyone belongs. It also challenges us to go the extra mile, ensuring that every child and every family receives the support, encouragement and opportunities they need to flourish.

In our distinctly Christian school, everyone has the right to learn, to feel safe, to be happy and to know that they are valued.

OUR VISION

Our Christian vision inspires us to provide the very best education and care for every child. We are ambitious for all our pupils and are committed to helping each individual become the very best version of themselves, regardless of their starting point or the challenges they may face.

We strive to create an environment where every child feels loved, supported and inspired to flourish academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually. Through an ambitious curriculum and a wealth of enriching opportunities and experiences, we broaden horizons, nurture talents and encourage every pupil to discover and develop their unique gifts.

Inspired by the example and teachings of Jesus, we seek to build a community where everyone is treated with dignity, compassion and respect. We warmly welcome families of all faiths and none, encouraging every member of our community to care for others, serve with kindness and make a positive difference in the world around them.

We are equally committed to our staff, fostering a culture of trust, professional growth and collaboration, where every member of the team feels empowered to inspire, nurture and champion the children in their care.

VALUES

Individuality • Community • Responsibility

Our three core values of Individuality, Community and Responsibility are at the heart of everything we do. Rooted in our Christian vision, they shape our relationships, guide our decision-making and influence daily life across our school.

Each half-term (or term), we focus on a particular value that reflects the needs of our school community or responds to events and opportunities locally, nationally or globally. Through collective worship, classroom learning and the rich range of experiences we provide, pupils are encouraged to reflect on how these values shape their own lives and how they can make a positive difference to the lives of others. We encourage our children to embrace every opportunity with curiosity and gratitude, recognising that each experience helps them to grow, broaden their horizons and flourish as individuals.

Our values help our children to become compassionate, responsible and confident individuals who understand that their actions matter, that everyone deserves to be valued, and that they each have a part to play in creating a caring, inclusive and hopeful community.

The document below explains how our core values are lived out across our school community and the positive impact we hope they will have on the lives of our pupils and those around them.

SPIRITUALITY

At Moulton CEVC Primary School, we believe spirituality is woven through every aspect of school life. It is nurtured through our curriculum, collective worship, relationships, enriching experiences and our Christian vision. We encourage children to pause, reflect, ask questions, appreciate beauty and wonder, and develop a deeper understanding of themselves, others and the world around them.

We use four key areas to help children explore and develop their spiritual understanding:

Self – recognising their own uniqueness, developing self-awareness and understanding their identity and place in the world.

Others – building positive relationships through kindness, empathy, compassion, forgiveness and respect, recognising that our actions have the power to make a positive difference.

The World and Beauty – developing awe and wonder through nature, creativity, the arts and the richness and diversity of God's creation.

Beyond – exploring life's big questions, meaning and purpose, faith and beliefs, while developing an awareness of something greater than ourselves.

Through these experiences, we aim to help every child flourish spiritually, becoming thoughtful, compassionate and reflective individuals who value themselves, care deeply for others and make a positive contribution to their communities and the wider world.
