Year 3 at Colchester Castle
Year 3 had an amazing time visiting Colchester Castle yesterday, where their learning about Boudicca’s rebellion and her eventual defeat by the Romans was brought to life.
They particularly enjoyed descending to the vaults, where they impressed our guide with their knowledge and listened beautifully, the chance to dress up like real Roman soldiers and Iron Age Britons, and identifying all the features of a castle we have learnt about.
We were incredibly proud of how well the children behaved throughout the trip. Their enthusiasm was evident as they asked insightful questions and engaged eagerly with the exhibits. By the end of the visit, they had gained a deeper appreciation of our learning, and we all left the castle with smiles on our faces!
