Colchester Castle visit: Year 3
Year 3 enjoyed a wonderful and action-packed trip to Colchester Castle. We explored the fascinating museum, examined the features of the castle, ventured bravely into the gaol and even descended into the atmospheric vaults. We found the burnt bread roll (number 23). It was burnt during the Boudican revolt. It looked very old!
The visit enriched our Celtic and Roman learning through exhibits, story-telling, hands-on activities, and lots of questions! We also squeezed in the latest exhibition on mythical creatures – phew, what a day!
