Moulton CEVC Primary School

Museum of Technology

On Wednesday, our year 2 class went to the Museum of Technology in Cambridge, where they reflected on their  previous topic ‘How has Technology Shrunk the World.’

They used a 500-year-old printing press, explored electricity with hands-on activities and saw a range of technology through the ages.

The site itself was a great example of how technology itself shrunk in size as things were modernised. They also thought about the Victorian times, linking this to our current topic about Grace Darling.

And then, they explored lots of areas of learning that link to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths). They made stomp rockets, explored how light travels and explored lots of different types of machinery.

Overall, it was a day packed with fun and learning.
