On Tuesday, 12 children from Yrs 4, 5 and 6 took part in a much-postponed hockey tournament.

The children were brilliant – they played with speed, agility and great team work. Both teams won 4 of their pool games, so we had hoped to make the semi-finals…..

Unfortunately, the sports leaders who had been officiating our games recorded two of our wins as losses, so we missed out! Although we pointed the mistakes out to the tournament organisers, it was too late because the semi-finals had already started.

We were really proud of how the children handled the disappointment – I’m not sure I could have been so magnanimous at the age of 8, 9 or 10!
