Admissions & Open Mornings
Applying for a School Place for 2026–2027
Thank you for considering Moulton CEVC Primary School for your child. Choosing a school is one of the most important decisions you will make as a family, and we are delighted that you are interested in finding out more about our school community.
Our catchment area includes Moulton, Gazeley, Dalham, Higham, Kentford and Kennett End, although we warmly welcome applications from families living outside our catchment area.
Admissions are managed by Suffolk County Council, and our Published Admission Number (PAN) is 30. Full details of the admissions process, including how and when to apply, can be found in Suffolk County Council's Admissions to Schools in Suffolk guide.
Starting School
Children may start school in September 2026 if they turn five during the 2026–2027 academic year. We offer full-time education from September, although we recognise that every child is unique. We work closely with families to ensure that each child enjoys a positive, confident and successful transition into school, and we are always happy to discuss what will best support your child's individual needs.
During the Summer Term, before children join us in September, families are invited to take part in a Stay and Play session, which helps children become familiar with their new surroundings, staff and classmates. Parents and carers are also invited to an information evening where we share practical information, answer questions and begin building the strong home-school partnership that is so important to every child's success.
Due to the high level of interest in our school, we are unable to offer individual tours outside our advertised Open Morning sessions. These events ensure that all prospective families have the same opportunity to experience the school, meet our staff and ask questions.
If your child is offered a place and you feel that an individual visit would help us better understand and support your child's specific needs, we will be delighted to arrange this with you as part of our transition process, after your child is offered a place.
